Lawn Care Tips;
* Never water between the hours of 1pm-4pm during hot spells or after 7pm.
*Excessive water in the evening will promote fungus and eventually mushrooms. This causes mold and fungus that promotes disease.
*Expect some fungus and/or mushrooms during the winter months.
* If you mow the lawn and all the tips turn brown-your mower needs its blade sharpened-it means the grass blades are being torn and not cut.
*Too much water is just as bad as not enough. Lawns need to be watered deep at least 6 inches for only a few times a week to promote root growth, not everyday for 10 minutes.
*Water early in the morning around 4:30 am to reduce evaporation.
*Watering at night or never letting the soil dry out between waterings promotes fungus and disease.
